II. The article I chose talks about how the death tolls in Iraq are at an four year low. Only about 20 soldiers were killed last month in Iraq, being the smaller number we have not only seen this year, but in the last four. This could very well be due to the fact that Australia is slowly pulling out groups of 500 solider over he last month. With less solider there, less bad things are likely to happen. The loss of those twenty or so solider was due to a firefight over in Sadr City. A cossepondent for BBC News says that other then that one little fight, the violence in Iraq has overall been on the down low. The "surge" of US solider is helping a lot, and the last of the people leaving are expected to go by the end of June.
II.
A. The AP World Theme this article relates to is that of impact of interactions among and within major societies. This is because the two societies of the United States and Iraq Rebels are interacting in the fact that since there are fewer soldiers, there is less violence.
B. This article is obviously related to the War in Iraq that has been going on for some time now. The US Soldiers are in Iraq to try to bring about peace. The fact of the United States and other pulling soldier’s out has been going on for a long time, and will be done by the end of June.
C. The author of the article is not listed but since it was published on BBC's website (which is a British based company) you can assume that it is a British person. He/she would really have no biases towards the situation.
D. I don't really see any evidence that the author is being bias towards the subject in any way. He is just reporting it without any neglect towards the subject.
E. Obviously a quote from either a US official or a Iraqi official to confirm the fact if violence is really down in the are. One correspondent just saying that it is is not enough proof in all.
F. This s actually a pretty exciting article because we can finally see some sort of decrease in violence in Iraq. Less and less people are being killed which is a great thing. But we still need to take away from this that while less and less are being killed, still 20 people where killed last month. Once we can get that number down to zero I think then we can start getting excited and happy.

I think that you did a really great job on interpreting this article. I also agree with you in that this finally shows some hope that Iraq can come out of this warring state with the decreased violence being observed. This also benefits the US because the less violence the more of our soldiers stay alive. I agree completely.
