Between shrapnel and siege: the “Holocaust” of Gaza"

More than 100 Palestinians were killed and over 250 were wounded in an israeli gunfire at the Gaza Strip. Since this bares a striking resemblence of the Nazi fighting in the Holocaust, it has now been given the name of "The Holocaust of Gaza". By rocket attacks, warplanes, missles, and bombing the Israelis attacked and the families of Palestine had to hide in underground shelters to get out of the line of fire. The other countries of this area have said that this was completely unnessacery and it has even been called an act of terrorism. This is a huge setback to the Gaza society becuase after these attacks hospitals are disorderly and not funtioning in usual fashion and water is flowing into the streets because citizens have not kept up with their sewege and sewer systems. this is a very big blow to these people and it is hard for these people to get back to the way things were.



A) i think that this article relates to the AP theme number 2 because the Society of palestine is being impacted by the acts of Israel in a negative way.

B) The israelis attacked on the 27th of february. However Gaza was warned about the attack before it happened by Vinali but still no one knows why it has happened and it has been said that Gaza is about to have "humanitaria explosion."

C) The authors point of view is that of an outsider and they are trying to keep an eye on this area and also the fact that he is not a Gaza muslim or an Israeli.

D) It seems as though the author may be slightly biased against the israelis, but i think that its a little understandable to show a little favor of the side being shot at than the side who is doing the attack, however when reporting it is important to not show that you are on any side of the issue.

E) I think that it would be very helpful to hear from someone who was in Gaza during that attack so i could hear what it was like to be on the side of the people being attacked. However itd also be nice to hear from a military official to hear what the Israelis were thinking when they resorteed to something like this.

F) I am actually quite shocked by this article becuase out of all the time that Israel has been attacked they have done thieer best to no thave to resort to violence so it is somewhat of a surprise that they would do something like this. it is sad to hear that many civilians had to die but Palestine should not have not expected something like this becuase of their ongoing fued about the land of israel.
