I.

A suicide bomber in Iraq killed about fifty people and injured another sixty.  The bomber set off a bomb strapped vest at the funeral of Sheikh Ibrahim Aref al-Azzawi’s two sons who were shot down two days before.  Both sons were members of a movement of Sunni Muslims called the local awakening council.  This movement had joined forces with U.S. troops on battling Islamic Jihadists. The police think that these mourners were targeted because of their sympathy for the movement.  More and more Muslims keep joining this movement and the Jihadist groups is trying to scare people and stop them from joining the movement.

II.

A)   This article fits in the sixth ap world theme because the Jihadists are loyal and still support al Qaeda in Iraq.  They are trying to scare away people that support the movement and help the U.S. troops.  This is a political change.

B)   The U.S. took out the leader that was leading by the political system of the al Qaeda.  Some Muslims support the movement to get rid of the system, but some rebel and they are trying to scare people away from joining the movement of trying to get rid of the al Qaeda.

C)   The writer of this article is an Iraqi male he is probably is an insider to this issue.

D)   The writer is biased to the Jihadists it sounds like he thinks what they are for is wrong; that he agrees with the Muslims in the movement.

E)    I would like to hear from a member of the Jihadists group to see his views on the problem at hand and why he think the al Qaeda is better then what the U.S. is trying to implement.

F)    I think it is wrong that someone could kill and wound all those innocent people just because they don’t agree.  I think that the Jihadists should try take a more peaceful approach to this disagreement or nothing will be solved.
