Israel considering large Gaza incursion soon after Bush visit

Israel is considering a large scale incursion in the Gaza strip to hopefully weaken the foundation of Hamas’s attacks. This incursion would happen a month or two after President Bush’s visit to Israel. Israel will try to hit them with a devastating blow. There will be a lot of casualties but they are still considering the attack. The Israeli army doesn’t plan on staying in there either. They plan to hand the responsibility off to Egypt.
A) I think this article relates to the theme of Impact of interaction among and within major societies. I think this because the conflict between these two societies has been around for hundreds of years. They have not been able to interact as normal societies because of there different religious beliefs.
B) Israel and Palestine have been fighting for hundreds of years. They have been fighting over the holy land or the Gaza strip. They each think it belongs to them and have been fighting over it because there religions say its necessary.
C) The point of view of this article is from a male probably from Israel because it comes from the Jerusalem post. He is also probably Jewish.
D) The authors point of view doesn’t seem to indicate ant bias. The reader might think the author is trying to make the incursion happen. That is understandable. Israel has been getting pounded with terrorist attacks, it’s time for them to strike back.
E) It would have been nice to hear from Palestinian government official to see what he thought on the matter. What he will do about he incursion and if he is worried d or not. It would help clarify the opposite sides point of view and feelings.
F) I think it’s good that Israel is taking action for themselves. Every time I read in the news about this topic I always hear about how Israel was attacked and nothing ever about attacks on Palestine. It’s about time Israel did something they need to stand up for them selves and do what they think is right.

Collin's article is very meanful to a major issue that is the topic of many articals today. I think this is a great idea to counter act the many terrorists attacks in Israel. With support from many countries, this plan can succeed and hopefully lead to future peace in the Middle East and the rest of the world.
It does seem like a good idea that Israel is finally taking matters into their own hands and maybe doing something good by dealing a devastating blow to Hamas. This attack may help bring a little more peace into the middle east.
It is good that Israel is finally sticking up for themselves and actually fighting back against Palestine, however i think that this may only cause the Palestinians to attack the Israelis even more.
