Middle East News-March 26th

Summary
On Wednesday March 26th, Israeli forces arrested a suspect that was responsible for a suicide bombing. The bombing had killed 30 elderly people at a festival back in 2002. The bombing was one of the most deadliest attacks made by the Palestinians. 143 people were injured when the suicide bomber blew himself up at the pack hotel in the dining room. This attack occured, the eve of the Jewish Passover holiday.

Reactions:
a)This article relates to the AP World History Theme, Impact of interaction among major societies, because Israelites and Palestinians are coming in contact with one another, and are engaged in war.
b) The Israelites and the Palestinians are engaged in war, and are using violence against one another. The reason for this is because, these two groups of people are fighting over territory of the "Holy land". The holy land is Jerusalem, and both groups of people think that this land belongs to them.
c)The author of this article is most likely an Israelite and is most likely an insider on the situation. He seems to know what he is talking about, and he knows alot of background information on the situation.
d) Although there is no indication of bias in the article, there is bias based on the issue that is being reported. Being that the author is an Israelite, he is bias against the Palestinians, one of which was responsible for the suicide bombing.
e)The issue would be easier to understand if the point of view from Palestinians were included in
the article and not just the voices of Israelites.

f) I think that this article was very interesting. I also think that the war going on between these two groups of people is a horrible and unnecessary thing. The war has been going on for years, and I think that it is pointless to fight over a portion of land. Hundreds of people are dieing from this bloody war, and its not worth the loss of innocent people's lives.

I think that this topic is an interesting, but sad topic. I believe that it is very wrong. The Palestinians and the Israelites should not be fighting. The thought of suicide bombing makes me very upset. I do not understand how people take their lives to kill others. I can not believe that they are still fighting over the "holy land" for all of these years. I think they should just stop, although i know it is not that simple. If they did stop fighting, however, the world(and especially their lives) would be much better.

I agree with Alyssa and Deanna in that this topic is interesting. I think that it is very wrong and sad that people fight for land, and to take loved ones life away is ridiculous. After so many years, people are still fighting for the "holy land". Doesn't it lose its value after so many years of fighting? I believe that this fighting should stop. It would make us a step closer to world peace and keep many more people's life’s in tact.

i think that this is a very intriguing article. i also think that it is wrong for them to be fighting about (land) something like this when many poor civilians are dieing because of it.And after so many years they are still fighting about it, you'd think that they would of settled it by now. i can't see how some one can take their own lives. i have heard a lot about this, and i know it may not be this simple but, they should try to share the land. Even though that will probably never happen like that.
