Summary:

This article is about a group called the Tibetan Youth Congress which has been proven to be an organization of terrorism. The group, also known as TYC, simply think that violence is the answer and turn to terrorism to solve all of their problems. They even said they would kill 100 Tibetans to achieve a victory if they had to. The fact that they are a terrorist group is not so surprising to some people ever since the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001. They are called a terrorist group not only because they planned out various plans including killing and violence, but they also had many guns and explosives.

Reactions:

A) This article related to the theme “impact of technology, economics, and demography on people and the environment” because the technology and the violence used in this terrorist group affected many people within the area that they were located.
B) This article is about a terrorist group that has been formed. Many terrorist groups have been formed in the past, so this is not a total shock to many people. However, since the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11th 2001, the amount of terrorism around the world has increased.
C) The newspaper is from China so we can assume the writer is Chinese. The information was from another source as listed from the bottom of the article, so we can assume the writer is an outsider.
D) The writer of describes how the members of the TYC are terrorists and accuses them of many negative things throughout the whole article. This shows possible bias because all the negatives are pointed out.
E) A missing point of view is a leader of this area because their opinions would count largely in society and towards the actions and consequences for the TYC.
F) I think the TYC is a horrible group because they are terrorists and believe that violence is the only answer, which is the opposite of what I believe. I do not think that your only solution to a problem should be violence, which is where terrorism comes from today. Instead, there are many other nonviolent actions they could have done to get what they wanted done.

Hey Brittney, so you did an article about Tibet this week. That is pretty cool. I did an article about their struggles a few weeks ago. When I looked up the history of the problems that they are having with their neighbors it was realy old. I would also be careful with this article because even in the title their seems to be a bit of an opinion of the author's maybe.
