http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article3672067.ece
II.
A terrorist group consisting of eight members planned to use suicide bombs on 7 different flights leaving from London. These flights were transatlantic flights to New York, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto and Montreal. These flights were supposed to leave holding 2,000 passengers and crew. The eight terrorists were said to share a common goal, which was, “inflicting heavy casualties upon an innocent civilian population, all in the name of Islam.” The bombs would be liquid hydrogen bombs carried in 500 ml soft drink bottles. The detonators would be made from batteries and disposable cameras. The defendants deny all charges.

A) I think this article fits in the theme of Cultural, Intellectual and Religious Developments. I think it fits in this theme because some Islamic Extremists develop and change the philosophies of Islam to make it very violent even as far as going on a suicide mission.
B) Some Islamic followers take the philosophies to an extreme level. They make violent assumptions of the Koran. Some terrorists in the past have been the extremists Muslims.
C) This author is American and is an outsider reporting on this situation.
D) There is not much indication of bias in this article, anyone who would write this article make the terrorists sound like very bad people because they are. They wanted to kill thousands of innocent people.
E) You are missing the point of view of one of the defendants, they might have a better reason for there conspiracies. This would help have full understanding of the article.
F) It is awful that anyone would want to kill that many innocent people, it is great that they got caught before they could actually do it. They would have taken their own lives and would of taken the lives of thousands of innocent people.
