The Region: Where Terrorism Makes Sense
The Jerusalem Post
March 31, 2008
II. Summary
Terrorism is revolutionary politics and a popular strategy recognized by the Arabs. Many believe that terrorism is considered evil; this would be a moral opinion as opposed to a political opinion. The goal of the act of terrorism which deliberately murders large numbers of civilians is to overtake state power and transform societies. The English-language Western media considers people as “militants” or “extremists” when they perform a terrorist act.
III. Reactions
This article relates to the theme is state-building, expansion, conflict because of the dispute between different countries view of terrorism.
Since September 11 there has been more than 10,000 terrorist attacks by radical Islamist groups alone. The act of terrorism has mixed views of whether or not it is based on the political or moral terms.
The author of this article is Barry Rubin. He is an insider because he probably grew up where political problems were handled in a terrorist manor.
The author is very bias in that he is defending terrorism as an acceptable method of transforming desired change.
The point of view missing in the article is the view of the families that have lost a loved one in a terrorist attack. Their view on terrorism may include that the act of terrorism is awful and unnecessary event. It would bring out the opposing argument to Barry Rubin.
I totally disagree with the view of Barry Rubin. I think that terrorism is not an act taken on political views; I think that it an action a person takes to get their point across. Terrorism kills many people and it is at no point important enough to take innocent people’s life away.

I also disagree with the article. Terrorism kills and that’s that. It shouldn’t be anyone’s goal to attack others or other countries. I believe that we are all here for a reason, and others are who try to jeopardize that task, is disgraceful. I agree with Alexis one-hundred percent on this article.
I also disagree with the writer, terrorism is not a political movement at all. If anything it is religious. It may start to become implemented in so countries politics. Terrorism is a horrible thing. It is true that it kills many innocent people. The people that believe in and practice acts of terrorism are crazy and should be locked away
