II.
The prices of oil have gone up throughout the years because of the threat of the depletion of this everyday resource. Russia has been on a 10 year, 58 percent surge of oil production, and they believe if they don't start to increase their income and production of oil that streak could end. Russia's Natural Resource Minister, Yury Trutnev says they are going to more than double the spendings on oil from $11 billion to $23 billion a year. They need to ensure the efficiency of key projects and replenish reserves. They are wishing to increase the income with 10 million barrels of oil a day or 11 percent of the worlds consumption of oil. In February, the income went down to 9.79 million barrels a day creating disarray for the Russians. This article is teaching how the world relies on these resources as if it were life itself. It also teaches the lesson, first come first serve.
III.
A) This article relates to the AP World Theme "Creation, Expansion, and interaction of economic systems" because there is a raised price of oil and oil purchasing. It shows the commerce
of oil, and how if you do not receive the precise amount of what you need, crisis can strike.
B) Oil has always been a huge commodity across the world and now that these natural resources are depleting panic has sprung up.
C) The Point of View of this article is from a Russian reporter. Because he is a Russian, he might be in favor of lowering the prices of oil because he supports his country. Also he would be standing up for them because if he is a citizen of Russia, he would want the income of the oil to increase.
D) The author could have expressed a hint of bias, because he is a Russian citizen and he would want to support what they are doing so he could be expressing his views unfairly.
E) A missing point of view that would help the understanding of the issue would be one from a big consumer of oil from Russia. This would help because it would show how from all parts of the world that oil is of high demand and how hard it is to get bulk supplies.
F) I believe that this issue will continue to get worse and worse because of supply and demand. The supply of oil is diminishing and the demand is going up. This is a big issue concerning the huge amount of demand for this one product. In a few years the world will go into a crisis about this issue
