II. For extensive years the terrorist group al-Qaida has been around terrorizing countries in the middle east. But now a group that was discovered a few more then 10 years ago were recently bombed in Somalia. This group is called al-Shabab an Islamic terrorist militia and has many occurrences associating with al-Qaida. They bombing occured at night and killed the al-Shabab leader, Aden Hashi Ayro. This air strike also killed 10 other members of the insurgent group. The country who called in the air strike is still unknown. The U.S. is nervous because al-Shabab is supported by Osama Bin Laden and had bombed 2 U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Aden Hashi Ayro launched daily attacks on the unbalanced Somalian government so with his death much is relieved. When The Associated Press interviewed a spokesman for the Islamic al-Shabab militia, they got bad results. Sheik Muqtar Robow, the spokesman, explains, "Our brother martyr, Aden Hashi, has received what he was looking for - death for the sake of Allah - at the hands of the United States." The group is strict to their religion will to much of anything to fulfill it. He also says the "holy war" will not stop.
III. A. This article closely relates to the AP World theme development and interaction of cultures. Because of the various interpretations of the Islam religion, anything can spring up from the strict religious followers. In this case, the followers interpreted the religion in a very violent way and believe they must do anything to serve Allah.
B. Religions have been misinterpreted all the time and this is a simple case of that. This closely relates to the Shi'ite and Sunni sects of the Islam religion. The various views of religion will not stop.
C. The Newspaper that wrote this is from Somolia. Male or Female. He is an insider to the events.
D. The reporter give many examples of how the group has terrorized many places and will not stop. The quotes shown are all negative maybe saying the reporter is against the al-Shabab movements.
E. A voice I would like to hear would be one from the U.S. This would help show how horrific these terrorist groups are because we are sometimes the target of the attacks. Such as in 1998 in Kenya and Tanzania when we got bombed.
F. I bleive all of these terrorist groups need to be taken down in order to keep international and religious peace. Although I know that religions can be interpreted however the person would want to, the views of al-Qaida and al-Shabab on the Islam religion are too extreme.
