II. This article is mainly talking about how the chief US envoy for North Korean nuclear disarmament talks will meet next week with his North Korean counterpart in China. There is no official date, and Tom Casey told reporters that there is no meeting on the schedule. But it’s also true that Hill will be speaking with his other counterparts in other countries certain days next week. Also on Friday, a US official said that North Korea is “very close to turning in a long-awaited accounting of its nuclear program, which would be a major step toward a disarmament deal with the reclusive communist government.”

III. A) This article relates to the world theme Impact of interaction among and within major societies. This is because officials from different countries are planning to meet and talk. This shows people from other societies are interacting with each other.
B) These two people have been on good terms for awhile. This isn’t the first time they have met to talk. There was another time in July 2007 when Christopher Hill was optimistic about North Korea’s issue on disarmament.
C) The article was written by the associated press. There is not one specific writer for this article.
D) Since the main point of this article has nothing to do with the Muslim community, there is no sign of bias because people tend to be bias about issues they could be a part of. Also, this article was written by a group, and groups don’t usually show bias.
E) A point of view that is missing is an official from North Korea. It would be helpful to hear when they want to schedule the meeting and their feelings about the issue of the meeting.
F) I believe this is good for both countries because this means that these countries are at peace with each other. If more countries had officials that would become friends and talk about issues with each other, this world would be more of a peaceful place.
