China Quake Death Toll Soars Passed 50,000

 

 

I.

            The Chinese earthquake has now taken more then 50,000 lives.  It is devastating it has taken that many lives and injured many many more.  If that is not bad enough it has left thousands of people homeless.  The donations to the earthquake relief effort is now over 3 billion dollars.  China government says they are putting 10 billion dollars to the reconstruction of China.  Chinese government is cutting the government spending by 5 percent.  So many people are left homeless that China needs to build over a million temporary houses for people to live in.  There will be one elementary school for every 1000 temporary houses and 1 middle for every 2000 temporary houses.  There needs to be more than 3.3 million tents sent for people to live in.  Medical staff has to be very fast in identifying bodies so that no diseases are spread from the rotting corpses there has already been numerous bodies infected with gas gangrene. Chinese families are left devastated from the tragedy.

 

II.

A.   This article fits in the third AP World theme because china is so populated that when the earthquake hit it hit very hard.  It took so many lives because the population of china is so high.  If it hit in a country that was not so heavily populated it would not of been as devastating

B.    Earthquakes happen everywhere and they are always horrible.  Natural disasters are devastating always.  It is very hard for a country when a natural disaster hits.

C.    The associated press contributed to this article there is no specific writer.

D.   I don’t believe that there is any biased in this article it is very strait forward on just giving the facts of the situation.

E.    In this article there is every view of the situation.  There is and outside view.  The governments view is included which is help.  And finally there is the view of an insider who is going through the problem with the earthquake and devastations.

F.    It is horrible how many people died in this devastating disaster.  There is nothing you can do in this case except hope that people get the help they need and hope that it never happens again.
