Summary: This article is explaing the prejudice against gay people living in Kenya. An openly gay man in Kenya named Jackson Irungu states many people there feel being gay is "un-African," very wrong and going against Christian beliefs. The few openly gay people in Kenya face a constant battle of verbal and physical abuse. Irungu says his one friend got attacked at random and needed to be brought to the hospital. Two separate penal codes exsist that if you are gay you can face 5-14 years in jail. "..gay Kenyans are arrested on charges like 'loitering' and "disturbing the peace." If you are a gay Kenyan you live a life of discrimnation and the prejuduce is on a very slow pace to stoping.
A. This article contains AP themes of social and political. It has this because it is a society that is socialy and politicaly unadvanced that they would discriminate and create laws against people and their sexual origin.
B. Some historical background is how in the Bible it does state how gay should be forbidin. Meaning that in a country where religion is so stricy they may take certain statements very seriously.
C. This point of view of this article is by a man that is a reporter for CNN.
D. I personaly do not feel that this article contains bias information.
E. The missing voice of this article can be a normal pedastrian, someone who is just a regular guy or girl, to explain if gay people offend them or effect their living.
F. I feel that this is a very good article explaining the horror of humans and how they can hurt people so much by a choice that is not effecting anyone or hurting anyone, just their choice of love. I also feel that this is good though that the prejuduce exisits in the open because then they can start to fix it. Unlike america, where all the horrible prejiduce that exits here is more quiet.
