China quake death toll soars past 50,000

II There was an enormous earthquake in china this week. The quake reached a magnitude of 7.9 in the Richter scale. The has been a total of 51,151 dead bodies found and it continues to rise. There has been 288,431 injured and 29,328 missing. Lots of money has been donated to the region for rescue and relief efforts.
A) I think that this article relates to the theme of systems of social structure and gender structure. Because Chinas population is so high and the density even higher a incident like this will be a cause for many casualties.
B) There is no real history about the civilization but there have been earthquakes in china in the past. In a place like china were there are lots of people an event lie this can be very deadly.
C) The point of view is an outsider most likely American. But the writer does use quotes from people involved.
D) The authors point of view doesn’t impact the article at all. The writer simply states the facts and what is trying to be done to recover from something like this.
E) I think that all points of view seemed to be covered.
F) I think that this is a horrible accidents that really couldn’t have been avoided. I saw footage of it on the news when it happened and it was devastating. Hopefully rescue has been swift and safe and that most of the survivors are being taken care of.
