A mob attacked the poor town of Johannesburg Sunday. The mob consisted of anti-foreigners. They killed at least 12 people, and injured dozens. The attacks consisted of a week of g violence that started in the town of Alexandra. Angry residents accused foreigners of taking their jobs and housing.

The anti-foreigner mob is mad at the foreigners because they are taking jobs and available houses away from them. Because of this, the mob wants to remove foreigners from their town by killing them. Johannesburg is in South Africa and it is home to hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Even though many of them are illegal, they have been living here for more than a decade and have South African identity documents, and therefor, should not be forced to leave their homes.
This article is written by an associated press in South Africa. There is not really any signs of that this press is bias in the article.
Since the point of view is coming from people living in South Africa, they respect the foreigners living there. They do not believe that it is right to force people to leave their homes, no matter who they are. The press says that "It's a crisis." South Africa has called on the South African government to declare Zimbabweans, who are people that are hired to protect these foreigners.
The point of view from these foreigners are missing from this article. If the voices of these people were included, readers would be able to better understand the situation, and details on why the anti-foreigners are doing what they are doing.
I think that it is horrible how the anti-foreigners are treating the foreigners. I believe that you should be accepted for who you are, no matter what country or place that you are from. I would love to know the points of view from these foreigners, so I can really connect with them and know how they are feeling.

I agree with Alyssa, prejudice is an awful thing to spread. The anti-foreigners should accept the foreigners no matter who you are. They should be happy about the increase in population, therefore, they should leave the foreigners alone. I also agree that it would be interesting to hear from these foreigners.
You are completely right, prejudice should not be still occuring today and it's horrible that something like this is happeneing this day in age. I wonder though, if there was any reason for them to not like the foreigners like maybe a longlasting feud between the two countries or an old war; probably not though. People can be so disgusting for no reason at all.
