Some years ago in Africa, a rigid seperation between the blacks and whites started and is still there today. In 1994 elections where whites and blacks were allowed to vote together occured and a lot of people thought this might be the end to all of the segregation. Recent events , however, show that not everybody takes the seperation seriously. When a movie that was going to shoot in Africa went to a resort hotel in the south of Africa, they were not allowed in because there was an all whites policy in the hotel. The owner was questioned by newspapers and he didnt care and stood by his policies even though he was fined. The racism still continues today.

A) This article realtes to the theme of systems of social and gender structures becuase it has to do with the social structures in Africa today. It is very seperated between blacks and whites.
B) Previously, there was not racism like this in Africa, but a few years ago it started and it is very sad. A country with so much devastation should not have to now deal with something liek this.
C) This is a "staff writer" from inside of Africa. It can not be inferred if this person is black or white, or a male or a female.
D) Although this author at some times does slightly exagerrate, their nationality and other factors has not seemed to affect the way that the facts are being delivered in this article. They are quite straightforward.
E)It would be helpful to hear from a white persons point of view from this area. This point of view wold help better the understanding of this topic because most of the people quoted in the article seem to be either black or on the black peoples side. I think that seeing the whites view might put a different perspectivve on the issue.
F) I think that racism is such a horrible thing. I find it sad that in a country having so much devastation that people would even waste their time on the hatred of others. I also find it quite strange that in a country thought of to be almost completely black people that there would even be enough whites around to hate them. I was not aware that there was a lot of white people living there. I think that people really need to wake up and see the bigger picture and realize that there are a lot more pressing issues in this world than the amount of pigment someone has in their skin.

I agree with Josh in that racism is very wrong. People should not hate other people because of their skin color. I have experienced racism first hand in my family and it is really wrong. People should be educated on the hurt it causes so that maybe it can end after all these years.

I agree with Josh and Alyssa. Racism is disgusting and shouldnt happen anywhere. It terrible that in our modern world that in some places there are still people judged on their skin color, and not how smart they are, or their personality. Nobody should be prejudged because of what they look like.

I completely agree with Josh. I think racism is the most horrible thing ad it is terrile that it still exsists today despite all that has happened already in the world. People should not be judged by the color of their skin or by their religious views.
