II. Summary:
This article was about how a cyclone hit the country of Myanmar in southest Asia. An estimate of 22,000 people (though it could be tens of thousands more) were killed across the country. In the capital city of Yangon 400 people were killed, and the entire city was left in ruins. There was only one tree left standing, and all the others had fallen on top of cars, builidings, and homes. There is a two gallon gas limit now and though it's only $2.50 per gallon, most people buy it for a lot more on the black market, because two gallons is not enough. Rebuilding won't be easy, and a may be a while before the country recovers from the cyclone disaster.

A) This article relates to the AP World theme changes in functions and structures of states because of the gas issue and the change in the society do to the cause for rebuilding and recovery.

B) Cyclones are hard to predict and have devastating effects that can take a while to fix.

C) This person writing the article is an outsider writing for the International Herald Tribunes in Ireland.

D) This article was written from an outsiders' point of view. This may have effected the article in that this person may not fully understand the devastation of the people effected by the cyclone and may undermine it's effects.

E) I'd to hear from someone who had to live through this disaster and was stuck in the middle of it. They can give their opinoin on the devastation of the matter, and how hard it must have been to watch it all happen.

F) I think it's really sad that this happened, and that so many people have died. I wish there was some way to prevent these disasters from happening, but unfortunately sometimes there's no way to prepare yourself, or prevent for that matter, the effects of a disaster such as a cyclone. I do feel sympathy for thoughs lost and those who have lost loved ones, and hope that everyone effected by the cyclone can recover and rebuild.
